Ranchi: Students can take the exam for admission in medical and engineering in their mother tongue. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been given the responsibility of preparing syllabus. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal has asked the NTA to prepare the syllabus for national competitive examinations on the basis of evaluation after meeting with the state education board of all states.
According to information received from special sources, there will be a meeting on December 1 on further preparations. Along with this, in the session 2021, which IITs, NITs and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will study in their mother tongue. The mother tongue will be studied under a special IIT and pilot project in NIT.
However, in the mother tongue, education will be started first in engineering colleges only. Gradually it will be implemented in other courses also. The NTA official said that studies up to eighth have been made compulsory in mother tongue. For this reason, if the state government wants, then it can also start studying general degree programs including medical, engineering in its mother tongue. Before this, NEET has been conducted in 12 languages.
