Maximum 74 graduate MLAs elected in Bihar assembly elections
Patna: Out of 243 in the 17th Bihar Legislative Assembly, the highest qualification of 74 elected MLAs is graduation. Also, 53 MLAs have passed 12th class, while 24 MLAs have matriculation pass. There are 20 MLAs, Graduate Professionals and 31 MLAs teaching post-graduates.
There are nine MLAs in the new assembly who know only writing and reading, while two MLAs are fifth and three MLAs are eighth. 24 MLAs have doctoral degrees and one MLA has diploma.
An analysis of the affidavits of the elected representatives in the Bihar assembly election was released by Bihar Election Watch and ADR.
Of the 243 MLAs who won the new assembly, 163 MLAs have criminal cases against them. This number is 68 percent, which is 10 percent more than the 2015 assembly elections.
