Pakur: Cyber thugs (Cyber Crime) blew up more than Rs 1.5 lakh from the account of Riyazuddin Shaikh, Headmaster of Sitapahari, a middle school in Sadar block of Pakur in Jharkhand. Police sources told here on Sunday that the victim teacher has filed a case with the police late Saturday evening.
According to the recorded case, on the evening of September 12, 02239020202 a phone call was received from a woman who called her name Rashmi Kashyap and said that she is speaking from SBI Customer Care. Also, he told his SBI credit card ID SBI 0005521 and asked for some information. He shared the information sought by looking at the registered number of SBI Credit Card.
He said that after half an hour of sharing the information, information about withdrawal of Rs 84,507 from SBI account, then Rs 71,995 was received on 17 September. He told that when he went to the concerned branch of the bank and inquired, it was found that he had been a victim of cyber fraud. On the other hand, Inspector-cum-Police Station in-charge Gopal Krishna Yadav said on Sunday that the matter is being investigated after registering a case of cyber fraud on the written statement of the victim.
