Fraudulent: 16 crore rupees in the name of scholarship, 22 fake institutions in
Ranchi: A house in the Kottavalasa region of Visakhapatnam. two rooms. Closed for months. No school-like atmosphere, but the Welfare Department files say that 200 students from Jharkhand are studying B.Ed. They do classes there as day-scholars. Its name is Christ College of Education. There is a two-room second house in front, named Jesus Dogga College of Education.
It is also well known. There is no education, but 200 children of Jharkhand have been enrolled for B.Ed. For the academic session 2019-20, all these children have received 40-40 thousand rupees in the name of post matric scholarship. The officers of the Welfare Department of Jharkhand were shocked when they reached to find these B.Ed schools. There are offices, not B.Ed colleges. When the officers investigated, it was found that 22 fake institutes from 8 states have scammed around 16 crore rupees by showing more than 4000 fake students.
Rule- Only students living in hostels can get scholarship
As a rule, the welfare department gives post matric scholarship only to those students who study as a day-scholar by staying in hostels of educational institutions in other states on the basis of full time course. Thousands of students from Jharkhand are still studying in Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Odisha and Chhattisgarh and have applied for post matric scholarship.
What is appearing in the newspapers is in the cognizance of the department. There will be a detailed investigation at each point. After the next three days, all these subjects will be told by the department.
